In a recent survey conducted by MGI Australasia, almost half of all SME leaders are in the dark about financial performance of their business.
The survey found that there is a sizable gap between what business owners want to know and their ability to identify the right information. It is claimed that this knowledge gap is a major hindrance to long term success for the business and the business owners personally.
One of the major concerns for SME’s in the survey is cash flow where poor internal processes and management of working capital creates a major financial issue.
The survey concluded that business owners need to take charge of their finances if they want their businesses to succeed and get ahead of their competitors. Not taking charge will not allow business owners to achieve their financial goals which, in most cases, is the reason why they entered the business world in the first place.
