Important Client Updates You Need to Know

TASA Code Changes Effective 1 July 2025

From 1 July 2025, updates to the Tax Administration and Superannuation Amendments (TASA) regulations will come into effect. These changes are designed to raise the professional, ethical, and regulatory standards for registered tax practitioners across Australia.

What’s Changing?

The revised TASA Code aims to:

  • Enhance transparency and accountability in the tax profession
  • Build greater public trust and confidence in registered tax practitioners
  • Strengthen the integrity of the tax system and the regulation of those who operate within it.

What This Means for You

As a valued client, it’s important you are aware of how these changes may affect your obligations when engaging with a registered tax practitioner. The updates define clear responsibilities both for clients and practitioners when dealing with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).

To help you understand the changes, we’ve prepared a Client Information Sheet that outlines:

  • Your obligations as a client
  • Our responsibilities as your tax agent under the new TASA code
  • Practical steps to remain compliant under the updated regulations

We encourage you to download and review this information carefully.
